All current Granary 2 models combine a 5-liter hopper, stainless-steel bowl, integrated scale, scheduled feeding, Smart Refill Mode, and support for dry kibble approximately 2–15 mm in size. PETLIBRO says the scale measures to within 1 gram, allowing the app to estimate food dispensed, remaining, and eaten. The distinction between recognition and access control matters. Granary 2 Vision can attempt to identify the cat at the bowl, but its open-bowl design does not make another cat physically unable to eat. 2. PETLIBRO Dockstream 2: Best Smart Water Fountain

Best for: one-cat hydration tracking and cordless placement

Dockstream 2 remains useful even if you stop checking its graphs. It provides a 3-liter reservoir, stainless-steel tray, four-layer filter, low-water alerts, and maintenance reminders.

The cordless model uses a 5,200 mAh rechargeable battery. PETLIBRO advertises up to 30 days per charge under a defined single-pet test using sensor-activated flow—30 drinking sessions per day at 45 seconds each. The useful part is trend awareness, not a hydration diagnosis

Dockstream 2 records estimated water volume, drinking visits, and average duration. Those numbers can help establish a baseline and make a large change easier to notice. They should not be treated as a direct measurement of total daily water intake if a cat also receives wet food or drinks elsewhere.

3. PETLIBRO Polar: Best Automated Wet-Food Feeder

Polar solves a genuinely different problem from Granary. Wet food cannot wait safely in a room-temperature hopper, so PETLIBRO uses thermoelectric cooling beneath three covered meal compartments.

The manufacturer says Polar can hold three compatible meals for up to 72 hours and, in a laboratory example at 77°F room temperature, cool food to around 54°F. Cooling pauses before access opens, and PETLIBRO specifies an optimal ambient range around 54°F to 86°F. [4]

Each stainless-steel compartment holds up to 6.76 ounces, and the bowl is dishwasher-safe. The app controls meal times, repeat plans, manual opening, and how long each compartment remains available.

Four limitations buyers should not overlook

First, Polar is not a raw-food feeder. PETLIBRO’s current FAQ recommends against raw food because of its variable perishability. The supported categories are commercial canned food, pouches, semi-moist food, and compatible prescription canned diets.

Second, it is tall. The unit is about 7.7 inches high, with the lid opening around 6.1 inches. Check physical fit for kittens, very small adults, and cats with mobility limitations.

Third, cooling requires wall power. Three AA batteries can preserve the feeding schedule during an outage for up to 12 hours, according to PETLIBRO, but they do not refrigerate the food. A prolonged power failure changes the food-safety calculation.

One RFID combines a dry-food hopper with selective bowl access. When its reader mat detects the designated cat’s PETLIBRO tag, the lid unlocks.

RFID does not mean implanted microchip

The product name can create the wrong expectation. One RFID does not read the identification microchip implanted by a veterinarian. It recognizes one dedicated PETLIBRO collar tag, and each feeder pairs with one authorized tag.

Scout is a corded indoor camera with 1080p video, 360-degree pan and tilt, two-way audio, color night vision, automatic tracking, a privacy cover, and 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi. PETLIBRO says recognition can distinguish up to five pets, although near-identical animals may be harder to separate. [6]
